Sherry Yard Weight Loss

The Great American Baking Show host and baker, Sherry Yard, admitted that she purposely lost weight before every season of the popular cooking show because she knew she’d gain weight when the cooking show starts considering all the delicious meals she’d taste. In other words, losing weight has become her hobby.

It is not like she has lost a dramatic amount of weight, it is just amazing how she achieved it in a short span of time.

How Did Sherry Yard Lose Weight?

As we have said, her weight loss journey always starts before any cooking shows that she’d be part of. The 55-year-old apparently lost 10 lbs or 4.53 kg but would gain 15lbs after doing everything in her cooking show, her Instagram posts would make as proof for that!

In an interview made by Meghan Cooper of JaMonkey, Yard said, “I lose about ten pounds first because I’m gonna gain about 15 pounds. That’s the first preparation. We should have a game of how much weight I gain because I really enjoy what I do, and I love pastries. I love food.”

Her weight loss was obviously seen during the start of the cooking show and as a judge, she cannot avoid eating all the contestant’s food they had made and especially her love for pastries. It isn’t just because it’s part of her job but she simply loves food. “I love food… If they had to make two items I actually was eating both,” she said. “I haven’t seen the show in full myself.  It’s a professional job. Someone has to do it!”

How Does Sherry Yard Manage Her Weight?

Having a job as a chef or cook must have been a hindrance to maintaining weight, but it is not the case for Sherry Yard. When making her own recipe, she herself decides what ingredients to mix in to maintain a healthy balanced diet.

In her cookbooks, she inspires people to achieve a healthy lifestyle without a feeling of getting deprived by keeping disciplined in everything, including diet, exercise, and relaxation.

She lost weight in 2019 because she clearly knows that she needs it and when she needs it. With her engagement with pleasure, she relaxes and eats whatever she wants in a moderate way. And most importantly, she focuses on loving and improving herself through physical discipline, not just because she wanted to have an appealing body figure in her age.

Although she belongs in the food industry, she never suffered from excessive weight or obesity. She’s not too skinny either, she just has enough bodyweight that is proportionate to her age.

And She looks happy with that – and I say – be happy with what you have got – and do not try to change it too much – mostly the world is accepting and those that are not – are not worth knowing.
